Rain, Rain and more Rain

I am begining to think someone should build an ark! It has rained for what seems like months. Which is good really, since we have been under severe drought conditions for the past several years now.

Months before Arthur left us we had not had a drop of rain. Which was awesome for him because he hated rain. If it was raining he could not ride his bike or his skateboard. Plus chores around here get a little messy when there has been rain.. The day of his service, what I can remember clearly, was sunny at first. Then as our friends and family started getting to the funeral home, it just busted open. Not just a sprinkle mind you. But full on rain! I wonder if he decided since he couldn’t skate or ride here anymore he would send us some much need showers…

Rain is wonderful not only for the obvious things, plants, animals, drinking water and in my case, washing the jeep off.  But it is also cleansing. I stood out in the rain yesterday. Just stood there and let the water wash away the dust that has been collecting. I allowed it to cleanse my soul of the muck that has gathered over the years. Life has become so much more meaningful. My very being is more aware of the wonders of it all. There are so many more amazing things to be learned in this life. So I will always be gratefull for the rain. After all, without the rain, we would never see a rainbow..  Peace and love to you all!!

  1. What a wonderful testament, ” Life has become so much more meaningful. My very being is more aware of the wonders of it all. There are so many more amazing things to be learned in this life.” Thank you for sharing. God Bless

  2. Love Your Post Today

Rain is very import to us in so many ways. Just this morning I looked out and said oh (drat it! more rain). After reading your post I had to re-think my thoughts. As often as I have stood in the rain due to having no choice, I never thought of it as cleansing off the dust, or ridding the soul of the muck, *your word* that has been collecting.

It would be terrible never to see another rainbow. Another lesson from you, no rain, no rainbow. That would be terrible they are so beautiful.

I expecially like the top picture, how well I remember seeing the movie with Gene Kelly singing and dancing to the song Singing In The Rain.

    Thank You Lann

    I Love You
