The way things should be…

The loss of a child is the cruelest joke the universe can play on us. It goes against everything we expect in life.

The Circle of Life….
Nature’s way of taking and giving back life to earth. It symbolizes the universe being sacred and divine. It represents the infinite nature of energy, meaning if something dies it gives new life to another….

When Arthur first left us, I asked hundreds of times, why? What the hell good could possibly come out of this? I refused to believe that my son, my amazing, happy beautiful son would take his own life. The questions were torture. My quest for the truth has been exhausting.

We recently learned that Arthur had been watching videos about this thing kids and adults are doing online called the choking game, or the fainting game. From what we understand it gives them a high, like drinking energy drinks in large quantities. Now I want to be clear and say we do not know if this is the case with Artie. There were other things going on we know that, but either way, I want parents to be aware of this. Most kids are doing this in groups. Some see it and think it looks harmless enough and try it on their own. Awareness is key. I personally had never heard of such. I know we did something similar, but not to the extent kids are today. It is scary.

So, do I still wonder what good has come out of our loss? Yes I do at times, on my bad days. But I do think that if I can save one family from going through this, or help one mom to know she is not alone in her pain then is that not a good thing? The fact that I do not take one moment of my day for granted and I tell those I love how important they are to me daily. Is that not a good thing? I am meeting people that I would have never met had our children not made the decisions they did and together we will make a difference.. And that my friends, that is a good thing!

Peace and Love always……

  1. Another Great Post

I don’t know where to start, so many messages here. When I tell people about your blog I always try and make sure they know at times they will be awed, maybe stunned, but for sure they will learn something.

I feel certain there are a number of people that have no idea what you are talking about, what kids see and learn on Tv, and through their peers. Should this be the case they have a great source here on your Blog to get some answers and understanding. Awareness is what all parents need and you do a great job providing it.

Hopefully your Post will be read not only by parents, but also the children. Maybe they know someone they can pass it on too.

Thank you Lann for your caring

    Love you
